Events Coming Up This Month...
Here's a quick glimpse at the local races we are partnering with this month. We hope you'll join us to have a good time and support some great local causes while you're at it!
September 1, Fremont, Norwayne Alumni and Friends Inc 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships- This 5K Walk & Run is part of the festivities of the Norwayne Alumni Labor Day Weekend and will benefit the Norwayne Alumni & Friends, Inc Scholarship Fund. More Info/Register
September 8, Beaufort, Crystal Coast Beacon of Hope- This 5K Race and 1 mile fun run benefits cancer services at Carteret Health Care, presented by Carteret Health Care Cancer Center & Eastern Radiation Oncology. More Info/Register
September 8, Elizabeth City, Elizabeth City State University Chancellor's Rhythm Run- This run will begin and end at Roebuck Stadium located on Herrington Road and will wind throughout the beautiful campus. Kids young and old will enjoy bounce houses, health & wellness activities, food, and fun activities. More Info/Register
September 8, Goldsboro, WSE Titan UP 5K- The Titan-Up 5K is an annual fundraiser for Wayne School of Engineering organized by the WSE PTO to purchase classroom materials and to support student scholastic and athletic activities. More Info/Register
September 8, Smithfield, Run 4 Recovery 5K- This race will take place on a scenic, USATF-certified course utilizing Smithfield's greenways, with a start and finish at the Recreation & Aquatics Center. More Info/Register
September 9, Greenville, The Anchor Run- The 3rd annual Anchor Run will help TEAM GEORGIA, INC. raise money for local charities that provide support for families battling childhood cancer, in memory of Georgia Godwin. This event will be fun for the entire family! More Info/Register
September 15, Deep Run, JMB Memorial Run- Please make plans to come out and run or walk as we remember Joe Mike and the wonderful things he did for the southern Lenoir County area. More Info/Register
September 15, Elizabeth City, 5K Run for Hope- All proceeds from this race will go towards substance abuse prevention activities, including educational activities and substance-free events for the youth in our community. More Info/Register
September 16, Greenville, Splash & Dash Kids Triathlon- Kids can Swim, Bike, and Run in this Triathlon. More Info/Register
September 22, Goldsboro, Paws4Paul- Join us for a 5K in honor of Sgt. Paul Oltman to raise money for our Veterans and furry friends! This 5k and kid's 1 mile fun run will be located at Old Waynesborough park. More Info/Register
September 22, New Bern, Colors 4 Cancer 10K/5K/1M- A 10K/5K/1 Mile powdered COLOR run to benefit the Journey of Hope Cancer Support Center. More Info/Register
September 22, Greenville, Run, Walk & Roll- This event promotes outdoor recreation for people of all levels of physical abilities. Wheelchair and hand crank bike racers are welcome. Net proceeds will benefit Vidant Health Rehabilitation Services, where we are committed to helping adults and children reclaim their lives. More Info/Register
September 22, Newport, Sports Center Chum Run- This race is a 5k obstacle course that will take place at Camp Albemarle. There will be approximately 15 obstacles of all types including an open water swim that will challenge participant’s strength and endurance. This year we will be having a Little Chummers Run for ages 7-15 years old to make this a fun and family-friendly event. More Info/Register
September 29, Mount Olive, PUMC BOLD Run- 1st Annual BOLD Run 5k & 1 mile Run/Walk. Hosted by Providence UMC BOLD Youth for domestic missions on the campus of The University of Mount Olive. More Info/Register
September 29, Winterville, Bulldog 5K and Family Fun Run- This race will be held at Pitt Community College. More Info/Register
September 29, Elizabeth City, 35th Annual Walk for Hunger 5K/10K- The Walk for Hunger is Food Bank of the Albemarle’s largest fundraising event and relies on the generosity, enthusiasm and participation of local communities, churches, businesses, organizations and individuals to help raise the money necessary to fight hunger across a 15 county area in northeast North Carolina. September 30, Winterville, On the Run with Riley's Army- Join us for the 7th Annual On The Run with Riley’s Army 5K & 1K Fun Run/Walk to help celebrate pediatric cancer awareness month. Riley’s Army mission is to support children with cancer and their families of Eastern NC. More Info/Register
