RACE HIGHLIGHTS Affordable entry fees- only $15 for the 5K & $18 for the 10K (early prices), plus a couples' discount in both races. NEW this year- a t-shirt option! We know some people love their race shirts, so this year, you can add a nice long-sleeve shirt to your entry for only $10 more. But, make sure you pre-register, as there may not be any available on race day.a t-shirt option! Awards will be given to both individual and couples. Post-race awards ceremony at Elm Street Park, featuring refreshments and give-aways from our sponsors. Unique race swag again- This year, a fleece headband will be included in your entry fees to help keep away the winter chills (only guaranteed to first 300 entrants). TIMES Registration: 7:00- 8:30 AM 10K Race Start: 8:45 AM 5K Race Start: 9:00 AM ENTRY FEES & REGISTRATION Early registration fees (by Jan 26): 5K- $15 individuals; $25 couples 10K- $18 individuals; $30 couples Late registration fees (after Jan 26 & race day): 5K- $20 individuals; $30 couples 10K- $25 individuals; $40 couples Registration fee includes a headband, guaranteed to the first 300 entrants. Pre-race packet pickup and registration will be held on February 8 from 5-7 PM at Zaxby's Restaurant on Memorial Drive in Winterville.. Registration will be available on race day, beginning at 7:00 AM. COURSE: This 5K race will follow the same popular route as the last couple of years. It is a scenic course in the university area that even includes some slight hills! It is USATF certified. The new 10K race will take runners through the same general areas as the 5K, but will include 2 new sections, one at the beginning and one near the middle of the route. It is a single-loop course and is NOT just doubling the 5K route! To view course maps, use the link above. AWARDS: Awards will be given to the top 3 couples (both races). Additionally, awards will be given to the top 3 M&W overall and in age groups (15 & Under, 16-29, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) in both races. RESULTS: Event management and timing by Run the East LLC. The event will be chip timed. Results will be instantly available at the finish line and posted at the race site and online.
